LESSON3-MAKE YOUR CHOICE, DECIDE YOUR FUTURE.

This lesson is specially created for children who do not know how to manage their pocket money!
YOU can make a CHOICE on how you want to spend your money!
you have 3 choices:

1:spend it all and have nothing left
2:spend part of it and save part of it. as such, when you need extra cash to purchase something you want, you have it in your piggy bank!
3:save all of it

The trick to becoming a "rich" person among your peers is to HANDLE YOUR MONEY WISELY. THINK BEFORE YOU SPEND! SET YOUR BOUNDARIES ON HOW MUCH YOU ARE GOING TO SAVE! Thats what a smart person would do!

[1]LITTLE THINGS. sometimes you would like to go out for a movie with your friends, get some snacks for yourself or visit the fastfood restaurant to grab a bite. All these can be done if you know how to control yourself and not overspend! Perhaps, you can visit the fastfood restaurant once every two weeks! Knowing how to set your limits enables you to save more for BIGGER THINGS!

[2]BIGGER THINGS. maybe, one day you came across a brand new XBOX game and you really wanted it badly. your parents refuse to buy for you but you REALLY want to get your hands on it! IF YOU SAVE AND SPEND AT THE SAME TIME, you will be able to use your hard-earned savings to get what you want!! Also, don't forget those lovely and thoughtful birthday gifts you would like to give to your friends on their birthdays! You'll need some extra savings you have too!

[3]GIVING. one must learn how and when to give and receive. We should spare a thought for others when we have enough for ourselves while others are poor and hungry! We can donate to them! For example, when you visit the supermarket, you'll see a tin on the counter specially dedicated for donations to those in need. For example, the Singapore Children's Society. Drop some of your change into it! Helping others makes one feel good and definitely a way to contribute to your society!

[4]EMERGENCIES. In face of a sudden situation, for example you forgot to bring your ruler or pencil for an important math exam or you lost your waterbottle accidentally and you do not want your parents to know, you may use your EMERGENCY FUND set aside from your savings and this may greatly help you to solve many "crises" that may happen unexpectedly!
